The Next Digital Transformation: Post Covid

Fireside Chat - 3:05 pm - 3:30 pm

EVERYTHING everyone at your event does is for "people". Either we're doing it for our employees or we're doing it to provide goods and services that our customers buy (ultimately all customers are people). If we are public companies, we deliver for our shareholders (which are ultimately people). If we are governments, we deliver for our citizens etc.

In other words, its all about the "people"

"People" exist and live in the physical world. That means every one of you, no matter what you do or how you live? you are in "my" world (JLL is one of the largest real estate providers in the world). There's not anything you do, think, want, etc that I can't tie back to something in the physical world (unless you live completely off-grid, in a cave)

So with COVID turning the world upside down, everyone is focused on "return to workplace". How to we insure it is healthy and safe. How do we provide flexibility. How do we create collaboration spaces. Even for companies that say they will be 100% remote, their employees still exist in the physical world and aren't in caves. Even those companies that say they will no longer have an office are still dependent on physical spaces (all internet traffic and data goes through a physical data center somewhere? which is a building? which we either built or are managing)

So with that as a backdrop, what are we seeing that will impact EVERY entity and every person? Where are we seeing areas where the CIO, who has historically not been involved in real estate decisions, now needs to have input / should be part of the team?
