The response to the COVID-19 pandemic has left no choice but for companies to have employees work from home, forcing a steep acceleration of remote access to customers, critical systems and data. As businesses look to balance an ease-back plan with extended work-from-home, it's clear that the new workplace will be very different, prioritizing flex work and space to allow teams to decide how / where they work. This will apply pressure on CIOs and IT executives to re-examine provisioning and support of IT tools, agile project delivery in a virtual setting, and enabling flex access to office space. With technologies like remote desktop, Cloud and virtual collaboration tools, the capabilities exist - the key will be providing a secure, integrated experience that puts employees first.
