Everyone in Information Security is aware of the skills shortage. Many companies are addressing the long-term plan, i.e. building relationships with post-secondary institutions. What do we do about today's needs? Mid-size companies are even more unlikely to attract top talent than large companies. How do you retain the talent you're able to attract? Is increased outsourcing a reasonable option and how far can that take us in addressing the skills shortage?
