Navigating Security & Risk in a Changing IT Landscape

Discussion topics

1. Is organizational Digital Transformation taking precedence over security now?  Or did we ever have the lead?  How do we get inserted to help manage these risks?
2. We need visibility into "shadow cloud," software defined networking, Mobile, IoT, implementations to ensure the risks are managed.
3. How do we not fall into the "department of "NO," but become the department of: "let's understand so we can figure out how to manage the risks?"  Or they will certainly just work around or not notify security.
4. We need to apply a Risk-based approach for accepting new technologies, determining the business process, what data is being used, the criticality of that data, who we are sharing it with, etc.  

Questions for the group

1. Do you find IT is pushing these adoptions, or is it coming from users?  These are two different challenges.
2. How are we getting visibility into these shadow IT issues to better protect them.  Cloud and cloud services being most common now.  What others are we finding as a pain point?
3. Is there a difference these challenges when dealing with B2B services or direct to customer?
