Renewi's purpose is to protect the world by giving new life
to used materials. Renewi's vision is to be the leading waste-to-product
company in the world's most advanced circular economies.
In order to achieve its goals Renewi launched a strategy
based on three market facing pillars:- 1. Be a leader in recycling; 2. Be a
leader in secondary material production and 3. Selectively gain market share. The
foundation of this strategy is the Renewi 2.0 programme which drives
digitalisation of the customer experience and simplification for efficiency and
returns.
Renewi was created in 2017, bringing together Shanks and Van
Gansewinkel. The post-merger integration programme focused primarily on
harmonising operational processes, integrating our shared service activities,
and building one Renewi brand and culture. It successfully delivered the expected
synergies in the first three years.
In 2020 Renewi 2.0 was launched as the next chapter of
integration and business optimisation. It reduces complexity in the service
offering, harmonises business processes, simplifies the IT systems and
streamlines organisational design alongside improving master data. Most of all,
the programme aims to improve customer and employee experiences with
frictionless processes.
In this presentation Daniel will discuss the opportunities
and challenges that arise when carefully prepared plans meet everyday reality. He
will share how the programme is coming to life now that two of the three years
of the programme have passed. What worked well? What worked out differently
than expected?
