With over 30 summit events planned alone, as well as multiple industry and custom events, products and services, the prospect of continued growth is looking very strong for 2012. New Sponsorship Sales Executives will help us to continue developing business with technology vendors and solution providers across the globe. We are looking for the next wave of ambitious and passionate Sales Executives for our Strategic Business Summit's division that can bring a highly charged and positive attitude to our team.
The Strategic Business Summits division executes turnkey technology marketing events that bring together Fortune 2000 technology leaders and solution providers in an effort to build mutually beneficial business relationships. Each SBS event brings together subject matter experts and the best and brightest industry leaders and technology vendors.
Some of the duties of a Sponsorship Sales Executive within our SBS division include, but are not limited to:

  • Researching and identifying key prospects from the technology vendor market
  • Cold-calling prospects to identify the decision-makers and the decision-making process within their organizations
  • Pitching C-suite decision-makers identified on a range of sponsorship opportunities offered to that market
  • Preparing and presenting sales proposals
  • Maintain a detailed CRM account of all prospecting and client development activity carried out through Salesforce database
  • Developing new business clients into key accounts across CDM's portfolio of products

Requirements

  • A minimum of six months sales experience
  • A true determination to succeed in a sales career
  • Strong phone-based presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with real passion and fire in the belly
  • Fast learner with an outgoing personality
  • Enjoys working in a team environment with a competitive edge

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PROVIDED
CDM Media offers an extensive Training and Development Program which starts with an extensive on-the-job 12-week training schedule, followed by ongoing weekly training initiatives, mentors and thoroughly planned Sales Management Development criteria for success. We will give you all the tools you will need to achieve the results, but you will need to be the one that puts those tools to work.
Please note this is an inside sales position specifically for developing new business clients initially and making them into key accounts for CDM's portfolio of products.
Experience selling in a conference, event, summit, sponsorship or advertising sales environment is a plus.
