Glenn Willis
CEO

Glenn Willis is president and chief executive officer of CDM Media, a leading global custom design marketing company.

Joining the company in 2005 as VP Sales, Willis rose rapidly, serving in key leadership positions within the IMS division, corporate development and integrated marketing unit. Named to lead CDM Media in 2007, Willis led the company's highly successful year to record profits and major growth.

With the goal of establishing CDM Media as the world's leading B2B technology marketing company, Willis has sharpened CDM Media's strategic focus and concentrated its investments on three long-term growth opportunities: integrated media services, strategic business summits and custom design marketing solutions for leading global technology companies.

At the same time, Willis has improved CDM Media's operating efficiency and execution as well as its financial performance and customer focus. The result has been increasing growth and profitability, creating greater value for customers and establishing a stronger competitive position.

Prior to joining CDM Media, Willis spent seven years at an international publishing company, where he held a variety of management, operations, sales and marketing roles that culminated in his two-year tenure as SVP Global Operations. His leadership was marked by successful efforts to substantially improve sales, bolster the position of the company's product line and build a strong executive team.

Ross Abbott
VP Sales North America

Ross is vice president of sales, overseeing sales and event execution of our vertical business summits in North America. Ross has extensive experience in Telecommunications where his career has seen him work in many of the worlds emerging markets including China, India, Central Africa, Russia and the Middle East.

Before joining CDM Media in 2007 Ross previously worked at an international publishing company running what was then known to be their emerging markets division. His tenure there lasted for seven years where he was instrumental in providing extremely focused marketing platforms for Fortune 2000 companies in emerging sectors.

Ross, a native Australian, enjoys soccer, tennis, rugby union and fine cuisine.

Rob Simms
VP Business Development & Event Management

Rob joined CDM Media in early 2009 and is responsible for managing the business development of new and existing summit concepts, together with managing all business processes during each event lifespan. This includes venue sourcing, event logistics, managing relationships with all attendees and final product delivery. Rob also works exclusively with the CDM Media C-Suite executive network to drive each project content committee, the overall theme of each summit and the agenda topics that are covered during the live event. Rob boasts huge experience in event management and has produced multiple events around the World. Before joining CDM Media, Rob was Head of Events for a UK-based media company; a position he held for 5 years.

Prior to his career in event management, Rob worked for many years at the BBC as a radio and television sports broadcaster and commentator. This role involved him conducting continuous live feeds and interviews with both players and coaches, as well as full uninterrupted live commentary on soccer matches in the UK. Rob also used to be the 'eye in the sky' travel news presenter, broadcasting live traffic news bulletins from 2,000 feet in the air from an airplane.

Rob enjoys playing and watching soccer and is an avid Tottenham Hotspur supporter. He also enjoys golf.

Rhys Jones
VP Operations

Rhys is responsible for all the operational aspects of CDM Media, providing a platform for our staff to continue to deliver the best B2B Marketing products in the marketplace and ensuring that the company's everyday activities run smoothly. Consequently, Rhys works closely with all areas of the business and his responsibilities are broad. They include:

  • assisting with financial planning, budgeting, and implementing monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management.
  • monitoring and controlling cash flow and maintaining expense and margin control.
  • advising on procurement, investment priorities and policy matters.
  • evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of all the business' processes and procedures.
  • overseeing risk management and legal activities; including responsibility for all letters of agreement, contracts, leases, or other legal documents and agreements.
  • assisting in the management of the company's human resource function including personnel evaluations, recruitment and advancement, and employee benefits matters.
  • office management: overseeing the administrative functions for all offices ensuring smooth daily operations of physical plant and equipment.

Rhys' background is in sports event management, business and law. Before joining CDM Media, Rhys was a corporate and commercial lawyer at an international law firm in the City of London, and before that, President of a UK University Sports Union. Outside of work, Rhys is a keen sportsman, whether on snow, sea or more solid ground and is also a life-long fan of Liverpool Football Club.

Mark Southam
VP SBS Division

Mark Southam is vice president of CDM Media's SBS Division. He is responsible for leading all aspects of sales for both North America and Latin America, and for driving profitable revenue growth and customer satisfaction. Previously, Southam was Sales Director with the SBS Division heading up a sales team who were focused on growing CDM Media's vertical based projects. He also served as an account manager on the Major accounts team.

Prior to joining CDM Media, Southam had held sales and sales management jobs for a number of start ups and established media and technology companies where he drove revenue growth and managed profitability. Southam also trained as a civil and military pilot.

Southam enjoys numerous sporting interests namely Rugby, Soccer and Golf.

Mike Deedigan
VP Talent Development

Mike is responsible for human resources operations at CDM Media and is charged with building the infrastructure and processes that will enable the Company to attract, develop, motivate and retain the talent needed to achieve its business objectives.

Mike's role has nationwide coverage as he continues to drive and acquire talent that covers our U.S. expansion in 2011. Mike has more than 12 years of experience in the marketing and events world and has worked in Australia, London and New York in his tenure.

Before joining CDM Media, Mike held a number of senior management positions for two international publishing and event organizations as well as News Corporation and Hilton International.

In his spare time, Mike likes to watch soccer, baseball and enjoys organizing social CDM Media events.

Katie McCanless
Senior Client Business Director

Katie McCanless is the Senior Client Business Director overseeing the management and relationship building efforts with our major global client accounts. She takes client services to the next level with the development of custom programs and events to serve the unique needs of each of our clients. Previously, Katie served as the Director of Marketing and Client Services at CDM Media, where she helped to establish the client services team and marketing efforts surrounding each of our strategic summits and online programs.

Prior to joining CDM Media, Katie headed up the marketing team at iHOUSE Web Solutions, a San Francisco Bay Area based real estate marketing company, in charge of online lead generation, partner development, custom marketing programs and design efforts.

Originally from Northern California, while Katie misses the Giants ball games, she spends her free time paddling around the Hawaiian islands in an outrigger canoe, and visiting her family and friends back on the mainland.
