Glenn Willis
President & CEO - Acting EVP SBS Division

Glenn Willis is president and chief executive officer of CDM Media, a leading global custom design marketing company.

Joining the company in 2005 as VP Sales, Willis rose rapidly, serving in key leadership positions within the IMS division, corporate development and integrated marketing unit. Named to lead CDM Media in 2007, Willis led the company's highly successful year to record profits and major growth.

With the goal of establishing CDM Media as the world's leading B2B technology marketing company, Willis has sharpened CDM Media's strategic focus and concentrated its investments on three long-term growth opportunities: integrated media services, strategic business summits and custom design marketing solutions for leading global technology companies.

At the same time, Willis has improved CDM Media's operating efficiency and execution as well as its financial performance and customer focus. The result has been increasing growth and profitability, creating greater value for customers and establishing a stronger competitive position.

Prior to joining CDM Media, Willis spent seven years at GDS International, where he held a variety of management, operations, sales and marketing roles that culminated in his two-year tenure as SVP Global Operations. His leadership was marked by successful efforts to substantially improve sales, bolster the position of GDS's product line and build a strong executive team.

 

Nick Backhouse
VP North America- Sales

Nick joined the North American Division of CDM Media in July 2007 and is responsible for developing and implementing CDM Media's strategy for all IMS (Integrated Media Services) projects in the region. He oversees sales, marketing, product development and corporate strategy for CDM Media.

Nick previously served as Director of Sales, EMEA, where he was instrumental in driving the success of the company's pan European projects. Prior to joining CDM Media, Nick served as a Business Development Manager for GDS International. Based in Sydney, Nick was responsible for project development in key markets in the Asia Pacific region, including China, Singapore and Indonesia.

Nick holds a Bachelor's of Commerce degree as well as a Master's in Economics from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.

 

Rob Simms
VP Event Management and Operations

Rob joined CDM Media in early 2009 and is responsible for managing all business processes during each event lifespan. This includes venue sourcing, event logistics, managing relationships with all attendees and final product delivery. He boasts huge experience in event management and has conducted multiple events around the World. Previously, he was Head of Events at a UK-based media company for 5 years.

Before his career in event management, Rob worked for many years at the BBC as a radio and television sports broadcaster and commentator. This role involved him producing continuous live feeds and interviews with both players and coaches, as well as full uninterrupted live commentary on soccer matches in the UK. Rob also used to be the ‘eye in the sky’ travel news presenter, delivering live traffic news bulletins 2,000 feet in the air, broadcasting live from a Cessna airplane.

Rob enjoys playing soccer, golf and has recently tried to grapple with the art of surfing.

 

Mark Southam
Director - SBS Division

Mark has considerable experience in marketing, previously he was head of financial services for a UK based global media company during which he was responsible for overseeing multiple event and publishing projects. Notably whilst there, he was credited with a number of strategic partnerships and worked closely alongside the European Commission and European Central Bank.

Prior to entering the media world, Mark was an officer in the Royal Air Force training as a pilot.

Outside of work Mark is a keen sportsman and enjoys rugby, skiing, golf and has recently taken up cooking.

 

Ross Abbott
Director - SBS Division

Ross is a Director of the SBS Division overseeing sales and event execution of our vertical business summits in North America. Ross has extensive experience in Telecommunications where his career has seen him work in many of the worlds emerging markets including China, India, Central Africa, Russia and the Middle East.

Before joining CDM Media in 2007 Ross previously worked at an international publishing company running what was then known to be their emerging markets division. His tenure there lasted for seven years where he was instrumental in providing extremely focused marketing platforms for Fortune 2000 companies in emerging sectors.

Ross, a native Australian, enjoys soccer, tennis, rugby union and fine cuisine.

 

Heather Reed
Director - IMS Division

Heather joined CDM Media in March 2008 and is responsible for overseeing the sales and execution of Integrated Media Services projects. Heather has an extensive sales and marketing background, most recently working for a leading national wireless provider.

In her spare time, Heather enjoys surfing, snowboarding and traveling.
